Rachel York to Perform with Gulf Coast Symphony

Rachel York will perform with the Gulf Coast Symphony in Ft. Myers, Florida in an evening entitled Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Richard Rodgers, on April 5.

The program will feature hits from the musicals Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Evita, Oklahoma! and South Pacific. The Gulf Coast concert is also the entertainment portion of the symphony’s annual Black Tie Gala. Also performing will be Nat Chandler.

York was most recently seen in the world premiere musical Turn of the Century at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. She has appeared on Broadway in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Sly Fox, Victor/Victoria, Kiss Me, Kate, and City of Angels. Her 2009 schedule will also include a series of symphony concert appearances with the Minneapolis Orchestra (January 15 & 17), New Mexico Symphony Orchestra (February 7 and 8), and the Long Bay Symphony (February 28).
