Cast Announced for Steve Martin’s The Underpants at IceHouse

Casting has been announced for the IceHouse Theatre production of Steve Martin’s play, The Underpants, with Darlin Barry at the helm, January 23-February 15.

Adapted from Carl Sternheim’s 1910 play, the comedy is set in 1910 Dusseldorf, where a young woman gains instant notoriety when her bloomers become untied during the procession of the King. The cast will star Emily South as Louise, James Bould as Theo Maske, and feature Franco Bottley as Herr Klinglehoff, Eddy Coppens as Cohen, Jessica Hoehn as the Neighbor, and Kevin Rainsberger as Versati.

For the role of the King of Prussia, IceHouse devised a unique fundraiser by auctioning off this cameo role. The kings will be Raoul Barker, Dr. Robert Boring, Jim Darst, Thom Hollingsworth, Richard L’Hommedieu, Harlow Middleton, Gordon Nettle, Mike Robinson, Don Schaper, James Wagar, Terry Wilson, Alan Wright, and Dr. Todd Zisholtz. Each king will perform for one night during the run.
