WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Director Milton Zoth returns to direct St. Louis Shakespeare Company's last production of the summer, the bawdy comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor. A lecherous knight, a jealous husband, three amorous suitors and two very clever wives, oh my! Set in Shakespeare's own middle-class suburbia, this is an Elizabethan I Love Lucy. Follow the lusty misadventures of the incorrigible fat rogue Falstaff as he pursues two merry (and married) ladies. But when he uses the same letter to woo both wives, they decide to teach him a lesson. A hilarious play, filled with sight gags, outrageous accents and bawdy malapropisms.
