Roll in the Hay With the Cast of the Muny's Young Frankenstein

The Mel Brooks musical takes the stage in St. Louis.

The Muny's production of Mel Brooks' musical Young Frankenstein is in full swing. Directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, the production runs through July 19.

The full cast includes Robert Petkoff (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein), Stephanie Gibson (Inga), Steve Rosen (Igor), Vicki Lewis (Frau Blücher), Jennifer Cody (Elizabeth), John Scherer (Inspector Kemp/Hermit), and Timothy Hughes (The Monster) are Claire Avakian, Sean Bell, Emma Gassett, Grace Hardin, Zachary Daniel Jones, Graham Keen, Emily Kelly, Rachel King, Jacob Lacopo, Ben Lanham, Michael Marotta, Elliot Mattox, P.J. Palmer, Kaitlyn Louise Smith, Sarah Quinn Taylor and Brandon Timmons. The company was also joined by The Muny kid and teen youth ensembles.

Based on Mel Brooks’ 1974 monstrously funny film, Young Frankenstein brings to life the story of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, grandson to the infamous Victor von Frankenstein, his hunchbacked sidekick, Igor, a leggy lab assistant, Inga, and an old sinister housekeeper, Frau Blücher. Upon discovering his grandfather’s laboratory, Frederick decides to step into the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors and create a monster of his own.
