Constantine Maroulis, Ciara Renée, and More Join Jesus Christ Superstar

”The Little Mermaid” also fills out its summer cast of Broadway favorites at the Muny.

The Muny has announced casting for its summer productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and The Little Mermaid.

Leading the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar (June 12-18) will be Bryce Ryness (Jesus of Nazareth), Constantine Maroulis (Judas Iscariot), Christopher Sieber (King Herod), Ciara Renée (Mary Magdalene), Ben Davis (Pontius Pilate), Mykal Kilgore (Annas), and Nicholas Ward (Caiaphas).

Joining them in the ensemble will be AnnEliza Canning-Skinner, Susie Carroll, Andrew Chappelle, Kayla Davion, Zach Erhardt, Atiauna Grant, Phillip Johnson-Richardson, Sean Harrison Jones, Jose Luis Lopez, Douglas Lyons, Gabriella Mancuso, Brianna Mercado, Fergie Philippe, Shelby Ringdahl, Akilah Sailers, Maria Cristina Slye, Daryl Tofa, and Voltaire Wade-Green. Direction is by Gordon Greenberg, with choreography by Jon Rua and music direction by Colin Welford.

The creative team for Jesus Christ Superstar includes scenic design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Tristan Raines, lighting design by Nathan W. Scheuer, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Greg Emetaz, wig design by Leah J. Loukas, and production stage manager Cody Renard Richard.

The cast of The Little Mermaid (June 20-29) will include Jordan Beall, Stephanie Bissonnette, Joseph Fierberg, Emma Gassett, Berklea Going, Marina Kondo, Matthew Aaron Liotine, Alex Miller, Halle Morse, Kenneth Michael Murray, J.J. Niemann, Commodore Primous, Scarlett Walker and Brion Watson, as well as the Muny kid and teen youth ensembles.

They join the previously announced Emma Degerstedt (Ariel), Jason Gotay (Prince Eric), Emily Skinner (Ursula), Jerry Dixon (King Triton), James T. Lane (Sebastian), Jeffrey Schecter (Scuttle), Richard B. Watson (Grimsby), Spencer Jones (Flounder), Kevin Zak (Flotsam), and Will Porter (Jetsam).

The design team for The Little Mermaid will include scenic design by Michael Schweikardt, costume design by Robin L. McGee, lighting design by Nathan W. Scheuer, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Matthew Young, wig design by John Metzner, with production stage manager Larry Smiglewski. Direction is by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, with choreography by Josh Walden and music direction by Charlie Alterman.
