Tari Kelly, Ben Nordstrom, Richard Pruitt, et al. Set for Stages St. Louis’ Promises, Promises

Tari Kelly will be Fran Kubelik and Ben Nordstrom will play Chuck Baxter in Stages St. Louis’ production of Promises, Promises, to run July 16 – August 15 at at The Robert G. Reim Theatre. Michael Hamilton will direct and provide musical staging.

With music by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David and a book by Neil Simon, the musical will also feature Richard Pruitt (Dr. Dreyfuss), Michael Halling (J.D. Sheldrake), Darrel Blackburn (Jesse Vanderhof), John Flack (Mr. Eichelberger), Edward Juvier (Mr. Dobitch), David Schmittou (Mr. Kirkeby), and Brandi Wooten (Marge MacDougall), along with Patrick Martin, April Strelinger, Ellen Isom, Lisa M. Ramey, Abbey Elliott, Maria Tholl, Borris York, Kari Ely, Nic Thompson, Mark Roland, Sarah Staker, Andrew Laudel, Borris York, and Lisa Campbell Albert.

The creative team will include Mark Halpin (scenic design), John Inchiostro (costume design), and Matthew McCarthy (lighting design).

Kelly recently appeared in Stages St. Louis’ The Drowsy Chaperone and has appeared on Broadway in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Boy From Oz, and Show Boat. Nordstrom won a Kevin Kline Award for his performance in the theater’s production of Footloose and was most recently seen in the company’s revival of Big River.
