The musical, set in the roaring twenties, concerns small town girl Millie Dillmount, who journeys to Manhattan and encounters frisky flappers, dashing leading men, and a dragon-lady of a villainess that audiences will love to hate. Adapted from the 1967 movie, the show features book by Dick Scanlan and Richard Morris, music by Jeanine Tesori, and lyrics by Dick Scanlan.
The cast will include Mamie Parris as Millie Dillmount, Ben Nordstrom as Jimmy Smith, Kari Ely as Mrs. Meers, Pamela Brumley as Miss Dorothy Brown, Graham Rowat as Mr. Trevor Graydon, and Thursday Farrar as Muzzy Van Hossmere.
The creative team will include Dana Lewis (choreography), Lisa Campbell Albert (musical direction), Mark Halpin (scenic design), Lou Bird (costume design), Matthew McCarthy (lighting design), and Stuart M. Elmore (orchestral design).
