Cody, Elder, Gattelli, Tolliver, et al. Win Kevin Kline Awards

The Kevin Kline Awards, honoring the best in St. Louis theater, were given out on March 31. Twenty-four companies shared a total of 118 nominations in 22 categories.

Stages St. Louis was the night’s big winner with eight awards. Its production of The Full Monty was named Outstanding Production of a Musical and also won for Outstanding Director of a Musical for Michael Hamilton and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Keith Tyrone; while its production of Crazy for You won Outstanding Ensemble of a Musical, as well as for Lead Actor and Actress, David Elder and Julie Tolliver. In addition, the company’s productions of A Little Night Music and Snoopy! were also winners.

Jen Cody was nominated twice for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical for the MUNY’s productions of Hello, Dolly! and The Pajama Game, and won for the former. Christopher Gattelli won for his choreography of Altar Boyz.
