RE:Velveteen Rabbit with Joe Jonas!
The Velveteen Rabbit played at the Forum Theater and featured in the lead role, a twelve year old Joe Jonas as "the boy." The show was composed by Paul Farinella, who wrote a series of musicals for the Forum Theater while serving as composer in residence. The music and lyrics for these shows were of the highest quality, and the Forum Theater quickly built a repuation for producing the finest family entertainment in the state of New Jersey. Mr. Farinellas shows, including "The Sword in the Stone,"Pigs and Other Tales," "Pocahontas," "Winnie the Pooh Christmas Carol," "The Ugly Duckling," and "Thumbelina and other Tall Tales," collectively represent the best musicals in this genre, and continue to be performed today in numerous theaters. However, "The Velveteen Rabbit" was particularly special both in terms of the music and cast. Joe Jonas gave a star performance in the leading role, and had Paul Farinella to thank for composing such an engaging score.
