WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Emily Mann returns to the Chekhov canon with a fresh adaptation of Uncle Vanya, the masterful Russian dramatist's bittersweet and deeply human story of obsessive love and mid-life anguish, featuring a collision course of secret yearnings, comic missteps and frustrated ambitions. When a retired professor returns to his country estate with his beautiful young wife, he unwititngly sets the stage for a collision course of family resentments, erotic tensions and a face-off with his brother-in-law, Vanya.
