WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Nightingale is Hans Christian Anderson's humorous and magical tale told through dance, music, and narration. A Chinese emperor captures a sweet-singing nightingale, but his attention soon turns to a dazzling mechanical bird. When the toy bird breaks, the real nightingale's song helps the emperor realize what it truly means to be compassionate and free.
