Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny

The Mermaid Theatre brings to life these two beloved "rabbit tales" through playful glow-in-the-dark segments, whimsical puppetry, and evocative music. Margaret Wise Brown's Good Night Moon,  the simple story of a bunny saying good night to a few of his favorite objects, has won the hearts of children for generations, since its publication in 1947.

Presidents' Day is Family Day at the State Theatre! Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of family-friendly entertainment! Adding to the festival atmosphere is a new venue--the Hub City Big Top--set up on Livingston Avenue in front of the State Theatre. Under the Big Top families can enjoy food, FREE face painting and balloon animals, live characters from popular children's shows, and more. A complete Family Day activity schedule will be posted on our website in January.
