It isn't easy to have a successful career and a successful marriage. The Last Five Years is an innovative musical love story by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Songs for a New World) that chronicles the relationship of a young writer and actress as told from each of their perspectives, and in both directions: Cathy starts their story at the brink of their break-up and travels backwards through time, while Jamie begins at their first date, moving forward through their engagement, marriage and ending in the present.
