South Pacific is a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical which follows two parallel romances: one between a Navy nurse and a wealthy French plantation owner; the other between a native girl and a young American Marine whose secret mission on the island could help change the course of WWII. The lovers tackle daunting obstacles and treat us to some of the most familiar tunes ever written for Broadway: "Some Enchanted Evening," "I'm Going to Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair," and "There Is Nothing Like a Dame."
