RE:Hot Night! Boz Rules !!!
OK, to start the air conditioning wasnt working. Yes, it was a bit uncomfortable. The management said the freon just escaped????? The good part:: Boz Scaggs was the opener and I think I was like everyone else expecting more from Michael McD and less from Mr. Scaggs. Well unfortunately for Michael the reverse was the case, and after it all if you comparred the two preformances Miichael was very diasppointing. Yes, his older female fans were having a good time but he has a terrible habit of mumbelling through the lyrics of almost every song and worse than that he makes the gross error of trying to improvise on every song. What I mean is that he takes his most famous tunes that he did with the Doobie Brothers and turns them around so that you almost dont recognize the songs and looses the great melodies. He ruined a Ray Charles song the same way. His background group was good not great. Boz Scaggs on the other hand did it all "right." Sang the hits...the way they were recorded and his band was just off the chart awesome. He has an outstanding guitarist and a female background singer who were equally amazing. Compare the 2 bands...Boz Scaggs was without a doubt the obvious winner last night.
