WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning play examines the amazing life and loves of opera diva Maria Callas. In this fascinating portrait, the retired Callas has consented to teach a series of master classes. But this is no ordinary music lesson and Callas is no ordinary woman as she seethes with the emotions that fueled her unorthodox style and unforgettable life. Maria Tucci portrays La Divina and Ethan McSweeny directs this fine production.

This is but one of many juicy quips that have made the play a favorite of theatrical prima donnas, from original star Zoe Caldwell to Patti LuPone to Dixie Carter to Faye Dunaway.
