WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Leif Ove Andsnes is one of those rare artists whom we refer to as a "musicians' musician"—in short, someone so special that every opportunity to hear them is one to be cherished. The New York Times has called Andsnes "a pianist of magisterial elegance, power and insight, whose commanding technique and searching interpretations have few peers." His all-Beethoven program will include the Variations in F, Op.34, plus three Sonatas: No. 11 in B-flat, Op. 22; No. 28 in A, Op. 101; and the Appassionata, No. 23 in f, Op. 57.
