GSP presents The Diva Project, four groundbreaking women performers developing new works for the theatre. The performers will be: May 12 and 20: Reno - This hilariously potent comedienne will showcase her incredibly funny stream of consciousness style when she returns from last year's Diva engagement. Christina Anderson - is a two-time recipient of the August Wilson Young playwright award. She will be performing her one-woman show Construction of a Black Diva. May 13 and 19: Carmelita Tropicana - This 1999 OBIE Award winner is a writer/actress who will bring her own ethnic flair to her solo performance. Trazana Beverley - This Tony Award winner for for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf will wow the audience with an all-new dramatic program. w the audience with her all-new dramatic program.
