Guitar ace Marc Muller returns to the Basie with his second tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead, this time celebrating 1971 and 1972. This important and beloved period in the Dead's long career is captured in note-for-note performances of the songs found on the albums Grateful Dead (also known as Skull and Roses), Europe '72, Jerry Garcia's solo album Garcia, and Bob Weir's solo album Ace. A cast of world-class musicians reproduce virtually every note of every instrument: Marc Muller (guitars, pedal steel, vocals); David Anthony (drums); Erik Boyd (bass); Carl Gentry (piano, guitar, vocals); John Pittas (organ); Tom Circosta from the Zen Trixters (guitar, vocals) and special guest Nicole Atkins (vocals).
