Directed & choreographed by Mira Kingsley, Circle Course is an hour long dance/theater event, which calls upon the fated 1937 last flight of famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart and her navigator Fredrick Noonan. The original writings of the performers and playwright Alana Macias, as well as Earhart and Noonan's large body of personal and public statements, compose the text of the piece. The script, consisting of scientific wonderment, travel journals and poetry, supports the three levels of relationship between the performers as aviators, travel companions and adventurous dreamers. All of these elements are set against a graceful and startling backdrop of video shot directly from different vantage points in airborne planes.
