Just in time for Mardi Gras, it's a Gulf Coast double bill! From Lafayette, LA, the six members of BeauSoleil (French for "beautiful sun") mix the rich traditions of Cajun country with elements of zydeco, New Orleans Jazz, Tex-Mex, blues and country music to create something Bob Dylan calls, "...my kind of music!" Featuring brothers Michael and David Doucet, they're winners of two Grammy Awards, with nine more nominations, including one for their 2010 release, Alligator Purse. They've performed everywhere from CNN to NPR, from the Super Bowl Halftime Show to Conan O'Brien. Marcia Ball raises roofs with her rollicking, roadhouse piano style and passionate, playful vocals. A four time Grammy Nominee with eight Blues Music Awards, USA Today calls her, "A sensational, saucy singer and superb pianist," and Rolling Stone says, "...her songs ring with emotional depth." Her new CD is Roadside Attractions (2011).
