Bob Ari, Randy Harrison Set for Red at George Street Playhouse

Bob Ari will play painter Mark Rothko and Randy Harrison will play his newly hired assistant Ken in John Logan’s Red, to run January 31 – February 26 at George Street Playhouse. Anders Cato will direct the production.

The play focuses on the tumultuous relationship between the two men as Rothko works on one of his most famous commissions – the murals for the Four Seasons.

Ari’s Broadway credits include Frost/Nixon, The Constant Wife, Bells Are Ringing,and Laughter on the 23rd Floor. Among his film and television credits are Two Lovers, Kissing Jessica Stein, Cradle Will Rock, Law and Order SVU, Ed, Cheers, and Cagney and Lacey.

Harrison ‘s New York stage credits include Wicked, The Singing Forest, Antony and Cleopatra, and A Letter from Ethel Kennedy. He may be best known for his portrayal of on Justin Taylor on Queer as Folk.
