The Nexus Project is comprised of two programs of new, ten-minute plays (produced in repertory) written and directed by some of Seattle's hottest theatre artists, past and present, and benefiting local charities and non-profit organizations.The plays are inspired by local organizations providing social services and/or youth-centered programming to the Seattle community, such as The Vera Project, the ACLU of Washington, 3-Dollar Bill Cinema, ACT Theatre's Young Playwrights Program, On the Boards and others. All twelve plays in The Nexus Project have been donated by the author and will "compete" on behalf of their designated charity or non-profit organization. As determined by an audience vote, the "winner" will receive a donation from Next Stage equivalent to the normal writer's royalty fees.
