Next Stage has announced casting and creative team information for its upcoming world premiere of Amy Boyce Holtcamp's Island of Misfits, November 29-December 21. Mark Jared Zufelt will direct.
Set in the sixties, the play follows three puppeteers -- Freddie Douglas, Snowflake Jones, and Herbie Pickle -- who leave the set of the stop-motion Christmas special they are working on to take their own voyage north to Canada so Freddie can escape his draft.
The cast will feature Patrick Allcorn, Aaron Allshouse, Chris Bell, Aaron LaPlante, Geoffery Simmons, Lisa Viertel, and Kaitie Warren. The creative team will include Sarah Day (costume design), Maurice Smith (sound design). Lighting and scenic designers will be announced at a later date.
