The 2007 production of Intiman's American Cycle is To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning story of Atticus Finch -- a lawyer who defends a black man accused of raping a white woman in 1930s Alabama -- told through the eyes of his young daughter, Scout. This beautifully written classic is the centerpiece of numerous public programs that consider how we learn to see others with deep empathy.
