Known for contemporary stories of urban life and the intersection of gender, politics and morality, Rebecca Gilman takes on the state of health insurance, the legacy of fame, and the ways in which we recreate our identity in The Sweetest Swing In Baseball. After a disastrous gallery showing, artist Dana Fielding attempts suicide and lands in a mental ward. But when she learns her health insurance will pay for only a 10-day stay, she cooks up a scheme to take on the personality of troubled baseball star Darryl Strawberry. A hilarious and intelligent production!
