It's the story of a fierce young designer named Emma (played by Danielle Barnum), a young English woman who journeys to New York City in search of love. By turns wry, sly, and very funny, dozens of Lloyd Webber's best songs take us through Emma's romantic misadventures as they lead her from New York to Beverly Hills and back again. She comes to America hopeful, innocent, and dependent and in the years that follow learns that power emanates not from the counsel of others, but from her own instincts.
