East meets West in this colorful collection of Chinese folk tales dramatized in an exciting story-theatre form and performed in the traditional style of the Land of the Dragon. Enhanced by music and mime, these playlets combine various types of drama-comic, adventurous, poetic-and are linked by a beguiling monkey who uses his magical powers to aid the heroes and heroines and to defeat the villains.
