The hit motion picture Fame has become a stage sensation! Set in the early 1980s during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts, Fame - the Musical is the inspiring story of a diverse group of talented students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work, exploring issues that confront many young people today: prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance. Join us as we celebrate our 25th anniversary of providing education in the art of musical theatre to the youth of our community with this reunion of past and present students - attesting that the programs and experiences provided continue to endure and that Capital Playhouse is indeed "gonna live forever."
