Village Theatre KIDSTAGE SummerStock brings to the stage all the wonder of Disney in its unique production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature about an uncivil beast and the beautiful Belle who can help him learn to love and so regain his humanity, the stage version of Disney's Beauty and the Beast includes all of the timeless songs from the film, written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, (the team responsible for Little Shop of Horrors), plus new songs written especially for the Broadway version by Menken and Tim Rice (Aladdin, Aida). Disney's Beauty and the Beast is performed by a cast of 45 local young performers in grades 5-12. EXTRA PERFORMANCE Saturday, August 12th at 2:00 P.M.
