Tim Jennings, the managing director of Seattle Children’s Theatre, will be leaving the company in early 2012. In a statement, Jennings says, “After four seasons of remarkable work in one of the most challenging arts climates of recent history, I will miss the staff, board, artists and patrons here greatly […] I will leave Seattle enriched by my experiences and have been honored to be part of a community that truly recognizes the importance of theatre, culture and the arts and their profound effect on the lives of young people.”

Jennings will be relocating to Minneapolis, where he will become the managing director of Children’s Theatre Company. In a statement, CTC artistic director Peter C. Brosius remarked, "Tim has made it his life’s work to bring extraordinary theatre to young people […] He has been a true leader – building financial stability, deepening ties in the communities he serves and enthusiastically supporting the artistic work.”
