Kathleen Chalfant Set for ACT’s Pinter Forthnightly Events

Tony Award nominee Kathleen Chalfant will participate in ACT Theatre’s Pinter Fortnightly series of readings of works by the late Nobel laureate playwright Harold Pinter.

She will play the role of Bel in Moonlight, Pinter’s last full length play, to be presented on Monday, October 24. She will also participate in a special Pinter Forthnightly presentation on October 25, reprising her performance of the monologue “Bed Among the Lentils” from Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads.

Chalfant won the Obie Award, Drama Desk Award, Lucille Lortel Award, Drama League Award and Los Angeles Ovation Award for her performance as Vivian Bearing in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Wit. In addition, she was Tony-nominated for her performance as Hannah Pitt in Tony Kushner’s Angels in America: Millennium Approaches. Among her most recent stage appearances are Family Week, Prophecy, and A Delicate Balance.
