Clifton Forbes, Annalena Persson Star in Seattle Opera’s Tristan Und Isolde

Clifton Forbes and Annalena Persson will star in the Seattle Opera production of Tristan Und Isolde, to play the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall July 31-August 21, 2010. Peter Kazaras will direct, and Asher Fisch will conduct.

Tristan Und Isolde is a tale of longing when two lovers, Tristan (Forbes) and Isolde (Persson), seek constantly to consummate their love, united finally only in death. The cast will also feature Greer Grimsley as Kurvenal, Stephen Milling as King Marke, and Margaret Jane Wray as Brangäne, with additional cast members to be announced at a later date.

The creative team will include Robert Israel (scenic/costume design), and Duane Schuler (lighting design). Costumes and scenery will be created by the Seattle Opera.
