Seattle Public Theater Announces 2009-2010 Season

Seattle Public Theater has announced the plays that will comprise its 2009-2010 season, with all shows to be performed at the historic Bathhouse Theater on Green Lake.

The season will kick off with Karoline Leach’s psychological thriller Tryst , set in Edwardian England, October 2-25. Next up will be Richard Greenberg’s The Violet Hour (January 29-February 21), a fantastical period pastiche set at the end of the Roaring 20’s. Next up will be the Northwest premiere of Christopher Shinn’s Dying City (March 19-April 11), about a woman whose husband was killed in the Iraq War, and a visit she receives from her husband’s twin brother. The season will conclude with Mat Smart’s romantic comedy, The 13th of Paris, to be presented May 21-June 13.

In addition, SPT season will present the holiday favorites The Santaland Diaries (December 4-24) and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (December 11-24).
