Casting has been announced for Seattle Children's Theatre's world premiere of I Was a Rat!, adapted by Barbara Field from the book by Philip Pullman. Rita Giomi will direct the production, which will play SCT's Charlotte Martin Theatre, May 1-June 7.

This family-friendly play tells of rat-boy Roger who keeps getting into trouble -- even managing to get thrown in jail for being a dreaded sewer monster. Don Darryl Rivera stars as Roger, with the cast also including Rob Burgess, Peter Crook, Jennifer Sue Johnson, Marianne Owen, Caety Sagoian, and MJ Sieber.

The creative team will include fight choreographer Geoffrey Alm, projection designer Mike K. Hase, costume designer Catherine Hunt, sound designer Chris R. Walker, lighting designer Michael Wellborn, and scenic designer Jennifer Zeyl.
