Seattle Children’s Theatre Announces Cast for World Premiere of The Brementown Musicians

Seattle Children’s Theatre has announced casting for its world premiere musical adaptation of the Grimm Brothers’ classic The Brementown Musicians, April 8-May 16, with an opening on April 9. Linda Hartzell will direct the production, to be presented in SCT’s Charlotte Martin Theatre.

Featuring story and lyrics by Allison Gregory with music and lyrics by Hummie Mann, the musical tells the tale of Donny the donkey, who gets wind that he may soon be “put out to pasture,” and decides to follow his dream of being a famous musician. He is joined by his friends Nell the cat and Minnie the dog on a journey to the music mecca of Brementown, where things are not at all well.

The cast will include Julie Briskman, Hugh Hastings, Auston James, Jayne Muirhead, Don Darryl Rivera, and Caety Sagoian.

The creative team will include Marianne Roberts (choreographer), Mark Rabe (music director), Edie Whitsett (set designer), Deborah Trout (costume designer), Rick Paulsen (lighting designer), Chris R. Walker (sound designer), and Geoffrey Alm (fight choreographer).
