Jerry Springer, who recently completed a run in the West End production of Chicago, will be seen in this John Kander and Fred Ebb musical in this country a little earlier than previously reported. Theater of the Stars in Atlanta has announced that Springer will be appearing as Billy Flynn in Chicago when it plays at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, September 8-13.

Just last week, the Kimmel Center announced that Springer would star in the Philadelphia engagement of Chicago (September 15-20). Springer, of course, is best known worldwide for The Jerry Springer Show, and he has also been the mayor of Cincinnati, a political pundit, a lawyer, an award-winning newscaster, and a country recording artist. The length of Springer's run in the tour has not been announced, and The New York Times has previously reported that Springer is also in negotiations to play the role on Broadway, although no contract has yet been signed.
