Kenny Leon and Tom Key to Star in Theatrical Outfit’s Blood Knot

Award-winning actor and director Kenny Leon and Theatrical Outfit artistic director Tom Key will co-star in the company’s co-production of Athol Fugard’s two-hander Blood Knot at Atlanta’s Balzer Theater at Herren, July 10-August 2. The production will be directed by Susan Booth.

The pair first starred in the play, about two half-brothers of different races dealing with apartheid in 1960s South Africa, in 1998. This production will coincide with the National Black Arts Festival.

Theatrical Outfit’s 2009-2010 season will officially launch with the musical Cotton Patch Gospel (August 12-30), followed by Around the World in 80 Days (October 14-November 8), Amahl and the Night Visitor (December 13-23), Brownie Points (February 3-28), The Sunset Limited (March 17-April 11), and Blues in the Night (April 28-May 23).
