Larry Cox, Jr., Caitlin Smith, et al. Set for Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s Leader of the Pack

Atlanta Lyric Theatre has announced casting for Leader of the Pack to run February 18-March 6 at the Strand Theatre in Marietta. Brandt Blocker will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Elizabeth Neidel.

The revue celebrates the life and times of Ellie Greenwich, whose doo wop sounds skyrocketed to the top of the sixties charts. Among the songs featured in the show are “Chapel of Love,” “Da Do Ron Ron,” “Be My Baby,” “Hanky Panky,” “Do Wah Diddy,” “And Then He Kissed Me,” and “River Deep, Mountain High” as well as the title song.

The company will feature Caitlin Smith (Ellie Greenwich), Larry Cox, Jr. (Jeff Barry), and Geoff “Googie” Uterhardt (Gus Sharkey), along with Mary Nye Bennett, Courtney Bowers, Joey Ellington, Caroline Freedlund, Courtney Godwin, Kayce Grogan-Wallace, Bernard Jones, Dustin Lewis, Shawn Megorden, Brett Parker, Bradley Renner, and Krystle Simmons.

The creative team will include Bradley Bergeron (scenic and lighting design), Lindsey Paris and Clint Horne (costume designers), and Bobby Johnston (sound designer).
