The theater is in the heart of the Mission District and can be reached from Highway 101 by taking the Mission Street exit. It is located one block away from the BART station at 16th and Mission. The theater is also accessible from all Mission Street MUNI bus lines as well as the #22 Fillmore bus line.
ABOUT
Theatre Rhinoceros is a non-profit organization devoted solely to the development and production of theatrical work by lesbian and gay artists and/or addressing lesbian and gay issues. The theatre was founded by Allan Estes in 1977 and takes its name from the horned animal which is mild and peace-loving unless provoked.Throughout its history, Theatre Rhinoceros has played the important role of communicating the ideas, feelings, dreams, rituals and talent of gay and lesbian people.
