WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Necessity of Hank is a psychedelic family dramedy set within the confines of a dark, strange, and stormy dentist's office and told from two very different perspectives.
Tia has lost her son, Hank, and is desperately trying to find him... she thinks. Her memory is clouded by a feline friend, so perhaps she gave him away, or never really had a son. Hank has had a bad fall, and finds himself in a tornado at a desert in a dentist's office with a cat, having major work done on his mouth. He is literally speechless because nothing is as it seems and no one is who they say they are. In this psychedelic story of betrayal, divorce, abandonment, and love, a family reinvents itself while a mother and son struggle to find each other and bury the guilt from their past.
