At times, the Curran Theatre doesn't seem nearly big enough to hold the national tour of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening. And the issue isn't stage dimensions; rather it has to do with the explosive, enthusiastic cast whose cumulative personality can feel restrained by an otherwise generous stage. Indeed, hardly anyone would be surprised if they simply bounced off the stage, spilled into the audience, and walked out onto the sidewalk to finish this heart-racing performance.
