Synopsis

Love is in the air this spring as TheaterWorks presents the Bay Area premiere Southern Comforts. Called "a delightful, even sneakily sexy, romance" by The New York Times, the poignant, at times funny, late-in-life love story found off-Broadway success when it premiered at Primary Stages. Recovering from their loss of perspective spouses, a retired -set-in-his-ways Yankee and a vibrant Southern Belle used to getting her way find in each other in what they least expected, a second chance at love. The show proves that it's never too late in life to mend the holes in your heart.
