Synopsis

When millionaire Horace Vandergelder hires flamboyant matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi to find him a wife, it doesn't take long for Dolly to come up with the perfect candidate -- herself. Based on Thornton Wilder's play The Matchmaker, Hello, Dolly! took Broadway by storm in 1964, winning 10 Tony Awards -- including Best Musical and Best Actress for its leading lady, Carol Channing.
