WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An eloquent and multifaceted portrayal of a family grappling with unspeakable loss, Facing East is the story of Ruth and Alex McCormick, an upstanding Mormon couple reeling from the suicide of their gay son. Although centered on Mormon characters, Facing East is accessible to anyone of any faith, anyone with a family, anyone who has felt the pain of loss, anyone with hope for change.
Written by Carol Lynn Pearson; Featuring Charles Lynn Frost as Alex, Jayne Luke as Ruth, Jay Perry as Marcus. Jerry Rapier serves as Director/Costume Designer, with Cheryl Ann Cluff as Sound Designer, Randy Rasmussen as Set Designer, Cory Thorell as Lighting/Props Designer, Jennifer Freed as Stage Manager and Ross Thorell, crew.
