Directors Cut: a Feast of 1-Page Plays Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Abydos Theater presents Directors Cut: a Feast of 1-Page Plays (20 plays done 30 ways!) The program is directed by Sheila Balter, Erica Blue, Mei Ann Teo, and Tracy Ward. The plays bring us into the world of the director, making a variety of different shows all in one evening.
Directors Cut celebrates the director's craft in a series of live performances of very short plays. Four directors, working in diverse directorial styles different ways, will present 20 short plays, emphasizing the unique creative talents of the director as artist. Many of these 20 texts will be performed more than once, showcasing the work of both established and emerging directors and playwrights in the San Francisco area, and beyond. Several of the plays were finalists in the Annual International One Page Play Festival produced by Lamia Ink! of New York City. This venturesome approach caters to our fast paced times and offers politics, love, brutality, humor and an array of human emotions over the course of one entertaining evening.
It's a great show for the theater lover with a short attention span!
Appropriate for audiences over 15.
