Stephen Macht, Stacy Ross, Ray Reinhart, Ian Scott McGregor, and Anne Darragh will join Emmy Award winner Sharon Gless in the world premiere of Jane Prowse's A Round-Heeled Woman to run at San Francisco's Z Space, January 5-February 7. The production, which will officially open on January 16, will be directed by Chris Smith.

The play is based on Jane Juska's memoir, which follows her real-life adventures when, at the age of 66, she places a personal ad in The New York Review of Books.

Gless' stage credits include Cahoots, Watch on the Rhine, Misery, and Chapter Two. She is best known for her film and television work, which includes Cagney & Lacey, The Trials of Rosie O'Neill, House Calls, Switch, Queer as Folk, and Burn Notice.

For tickets, call 800-838-3006 or visit www.zspace.org. For more information, visit www.aroundheeledwoman.com.

This is wonderfully exciting to hear that Janes book has become a play! She does have a second book too, "unaccompanied women", which is every bit as good as her first book. Im looking forward to seeing how the book translates into a play. I expect it will work very, very well.
