Amy Freed's You, Nero, starring Danny Schiee as the Roman emperor, will conclude Berkeley Rep's 2008-2009 season. The show, to be directed by Sharon Ott, will run May 8-June 21, after first being presented at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa. The theater has postponed its production of David Henry Hwang's Yellow Face, with plans to now present it in Fall 2009.

The Main Season will begin with the world premiere of Itamar Moses' Yellowjackets, about the fallout of a high school newspaper publishing an insensitive story, to be helmed by artistic director Tony Taccone (August 29-October 13).

It will be followed by August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone, directed by Delroy Lindo (October 31-December 14); Mary Zimmerman's fantasy The Arabian Nights (November 14-January 4); and the world premiere of Sarah Ruhl's The Vibrator Play, about six lone people seeking relief from a local doctor, directed by Les Waters (January 30-March 15).

On its Thrust Stage, the theater will also present Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus' 90-minute version of Crime and Punishment, directed by Ott (February 27-March 29), and Waters' production of Martin McDonagh's award-winning black comedy The Lieutenant of Inishmore (April 17-May 17).
