Thomas Caruso, Megan Cavanagh Set for 42nd Street Moon's 2010-2011 Season

42nd Street Moon has announced its lineup for the 2010-2011 season, which will begin with a revival of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (October 6-24), starring stage and screen star Megan Cavanagh as Pseudolus.

The company will then give Kellen Blair and Joe Kinosian's musical Murder for Two (November 3-21) its West Coast premiere. Thomas Caruso will direct the show which is a tuneful Agatha Christie-style whodunit. Rodgers and Hart's Babes in Arms (December 1-19) follows.

In the new year, the theater will present Strike Up the Band (April 6-24), with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by George S. Kaufman; and Silk Stockings (May 4-22), with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, and a book by Kaufman, Leueen MacGrath and Abe Burrows.

In addition to these productions, 42nd Street Moon will continue to offer its series of Salon Evenings, each of which are showcases a specific composer. During 2010-2011, Jerome Kern (October 25) and John Kander (January 27) will be saluted with salon performances.
