San Jose Repertory Theatre has announced selections for its 30th Anniversary season, which will begin with the West Coast premiere of Frank Higgins' Black Pearl Sings (September 2-26), directed by the theater's artistic director, Rick Lombardo.

The season will also include the West Coast premiere of Robert Clyman's Secret Order (October 14-November 7); the regional premiere of Lynnette Barkley and Christopher McGovern's new musical about Ginger Rogers, Backwards in High Heels, directed by Scott Schwartz (November 24-December 19); Ken Ruta and James Carpenter in Ronald Harwood's The Dresser, directed by Lombardo; and the world premiere of Philip Kan Gotanda's Love in American Times (May 12-June 5). There will also be one additional show, to be announced, which will open in March.
